محبت، مجبوری اور بچپن کے ایک ایسے انٹیک رشتے کی کہانی جو وقت کے ساتھ دلوں پر گہرے نقوش چھوڑ جاتی ہے، “رسمِ وفا” دراصل جذبوں کی کشمکش اور روایتی اقدار کے درمیان جڑے ایک ایسے بندھن کا نام ہے جو قاری کو شروع سے آخر تک اپنے سحر میں جکڑے رکھتا ہے۔ کہانی کا آغاز خیام اور نورے کی زندگی کے ان موڑ سے ہوتا ہے جہاں بظاہر فیصلوں کی ڈور بڑوں کے ہاتھ میں ہوتی ہے، لیکن ان فیصلوں کے اصل اثرات ان دونوں کی جوانی اور دلوں پر پڑتے ہیں۔

مصنفہ نے کہانی میں جذبات کے اتار چڑھاؤ کو بہت قریب سے دکھایا ہے۔ ایک طرف محبت کا وہ پرانا سحر ہے جو خیام اور فبیحہ کے درمیان ہے، اور دوسری طرف نورے کی وہ سچی اور پاکیزہ چاہت ہے جو کسی بھی ملاوٹ سے پاک ہے۔ جب کہانی میں غم، بچھڑنے کے لمحات اور اپنوں کی جدائی کے مناظر آتے ہیں تو آنکھیں نم ہو جاتی ہیں۔ خاص طور پر دادا کی جدائی اور نورے کا بظاہر ٹوٹ جانا قاری کے دل کو اندر سے ہلا کر رکھ دیتا ہے۔
