”Taking two or three pictures from different angles, she was tiptoeing back when a voice from behind froze her in her tracks.
’Taking someone’s picture in the middle of the night without permission is highly unethical, even if you are married to that person.’ Halah had forgotten that secret service agents stay alert even while they sleep.
Embarrassed, she tried to step away quickly, but in her panic, her foot twisted, and she fell with a thud. Zaman leaped out of bed in an instant, caught her by the arm, helped her up, and sat her on the bed.
’Are you alright?’ he asked, looking at her teary eyes with genuine concern.
